Christmas Cookies for Santa

We always have to make and decorate some sugar cookies for Santa. The kids had to make sure that the frosting tasted ok first.

Of course in the end everyone got to eat one cookie.

The annual Gingerbread House

Every year we try to decorate a gingerbread house. Here are the kids with the trees for the house.

They were very serious when they were decorating!

Zach was very focused on decorating. He did not leave the table until every last piece of candy was on the house. He kept showing me where I needed more frosting to stick on more candy. He was very proud of his work!

Zach's Birthday

December 16th was Zach's 4th Birthday, so he chose to go to a place called Lil' Bigg's for his special day. We had a great time!

My sister is in town from New Jersey, so her and her daughters came and joined us. They all played so well and everyone slept very good that night! My brother Mike and his girlfriend Juvi were there also for a while, and Aunt Linda stopped by too.

After we were done playing, we came home and opened his presents. I love his face on the bottom picture.

Winter Wildland at the Zoo

A few weekends ago we went to Winter Wildland

at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. They had a bunch of lights up and we could see a lot of the animals. We always enjoy going, and luckily we had a pretty warm night for mid-December in Colorado.

We had to take a break to enjoy some yummy hot chocolate.

Christmas Party

Last Wednesday night we went to the Christmas party at the club. We all had a great time.

A Busy Day

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we got some nice snow, so the kids went out and played for a while.

After playing in the snow they had to come in and have some hot chocolate with marshmallows.

After playing in the snow and having some hot chocolate we decorated the house for Christmas. Here are the kids in front of the tree they helped decorate.

Amanda loves to "read" to her little sister, and Morgan loves to listen to every word she is saying.

For Amanda's actual 6th Birthday we went to Chuck E. Cheese's to celebrate.

Zach's Thanksgiving Show and "Feast" at preschool

At Zach's preschool they put on a little Thanksgiving show where they sing some songs and then they sit down together and eat their "feast." They made all of their own costumes and all of their own food. Here are some pictures, and you can see his cast really well in these pictures too.
